It’s one of my favourite sayings #betheorganisedbride. All of us married folk know just how much goes into planning a wedding and all the things you must think about to bring it all together! Sometimes it can get very overwhelming. You are basically planning a big event (even if you only have a small number of people attending it’s still a big occasion!). I’m a total sucker for lists and organisation and I often get wowed by my clients in the run up to the wedding and on the wedding morning itself at how organised they are with beautiful colour coded spreadsheets, big printouts of lists, time plans… I’ve never seen Excel look so interesting! Who doesn’t love it when a plan comes together? As a wedding hair stylist in Nottingham we have seen some incredible days planned out.
So, with all these things to think about, it’s important to not forget your hair! After all it is the crown we wear and a big part of your look and style for the big day. I’ve seen this year more and more brides asking for availability very close to their big day and being left disappointed because they’ve not been able to secure their preferred wedding hairstylist or makeup artist.
You may be lucky to already know or have a hairstylist who you trust completely, who knows your hair better than anyone and is confident in being able to create your dream wedding hairstyle. If you don’t yet, make sure you take the time (and as early as possible in your planning) to do some research into hairstylists in your area.
Read reviews, check out their social media and ask other brides, friends and family whose hairstyles they’ve admired and ask are they able to recommend anyone to you. Recommendations are a great way to secure a wedding supplier as it comes off the back of someone already have a positive experience with that individual and the service they delivered.
I always say it’s never too early to get in touch and check availability for a wedding hairstylist and then you have the reassurance you can secure the right stylist for you on your wedding date. Of course, in the first instance you will look at the big items on your tick list such as venue, church, registrar, photographer, florist, themes/styling and so on. Your wedding hairstylist (as well as makeup artist) should be high up there on your list as I know so many do get booked up fast!
So…..brides to be, if you’ve not yet thought about who you’re going to have to do your wedding hair then #betheorganisedbride and get in touch to check availability! If you have a friend or family member that is a “bride to be” give them a nudge to make contact so they don’t miss out on their preferred supplier! A lot of information is on my website along with regular up to date pics on social media channels. You can message me at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if your date is free and discuss requirements from there. Happy planning!
